[Physics-grads-open] FW: [POWUR] Graduate Students Meeting with Colloquium Speaker

Hello everyone,

We will have a student interaction session with the colloquium speaker, Dr. Cristian Pena this Thursday, May 18th, 2023, before the colloquium at 1.15 PM in the Barkas Lounge Patio.

Cristian is currently with the Fermilab Quantum Institute. He works on various aspects of high-energy physics and quantum information science. Specifically, his research is focused on quantum communication systems; that’s using the properties of quantum entanglement to distribute information.


We hope that through these interaction sessions, students can freely discuss
anything ranging from the speaker's current and past research, their DEI efforts, navigating graduate school and future prospects.
