[Physics-grads-open] FW: [POWUR] Graduate Student meeting with the colloquium speaker

Hello everyone,



We will have a student interaction session with the colloquium speaker, Dr. Kin Fai Mak this Thursday, June 1st, 2023, before the colloquium at 12 noon in the Barkas Lounge Patio.



Kin is currently an Associate Professor at Cornell University. His research group explores new physical phenomena in atomically thin materials and their heterostructures.



We hope that through these interaction sessions, students can freely discussa anything ranging from the speaker's current and past research, their DEI efforts, navigating graduate school and future prospects.



There will be food for a limited number of participants.
