Dear grad students, postdocs and project scientists,

This is a reminder that we will be having our first departmental Town Hall this Thursday, Dec. 3rd at 5 pm. The Zoom link is: https://ucr.zoom.us/j/98587947492 <https://ucr.zoom.us/j/98587947492>

The meeting will include some brief announcements, and the appropriate faculty members will answer any questions that were submitted through the new anonymous Suggestion Box on the Physics Grad Student Community Canvas site, which can be found at https://elearn.ucr.edu <https://elearn.ucr.edu/>. Please note that postdocs, project scientists and faculty have yet to be added to the site, but they will be soon.

The main topic for this first meeting will be to hear from you. In particular, we would like to know what topics you would like covered and what format would be most useful in future Town Halls. We would then take any questions and have open discussions for the remainder of the meeting. In addition, I will monitor the Canvas site in case someone wants to submit an anonymous questions during the meeting. All of the faculty have been invited to it and the departmental leadership will certainly attend, so that you can direct your questions to the appropriate person.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Thursday...
