[Microplantpath_faculty] Administrative updates

Good morning All,

Providing an update regarding our vacant RA3 position within the
Administrative team. We have completed the recruitment process and are
pleased to share that Ariana Avila has been promoted and will be
transitioning into her new Analyst role effective *9/1*. She was the most
competitive and qualified candidate in the pool, and we are glad to see her
step into this next stage of her career.

Ariana’s experience and unwavering dedication to our department have been
invaluable, and we truly appreciate all of her hard work. Congratulations,
Ariana.
We are opening a recruitment to replace the RA2 role and hope to wrap the
recruitment by the end of September. As of 9/1, Ariana's current PI's can
email the BMP analyst email, as Mariam and I are assisting with any
requests.

Regarding the Procurement Supervisor role, recruitment is still underway.
In the meantime, due to the volume of work across our units, I have asked
two individuals to step in and support our procurement team with review and
policy compliance. They are assisting after hours to help maintain
continuity.

There will be no changes to how transactions are processed for our
department.

   -

   *Valerie Corral (Physics)* is providing procurement review and approvals
   and will assist the procurement team as needed.
   -

   *Jeanette Westbrook* is providing policy‑compliance review and approvals
   for all Concur transactions. Please keep Jeanette as the final approver for
   your Concur submissions and pre-trips.

Both team members will be supporting the back‑end operations through
*9/30*. Attached
is an updated analyst assignment listing.
