There is a critical shortage of both nurses and nursing faculty.  UCR does
not have a nursing program, but students with a four-year degree NOT in
nursing can apply to accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs or
entry level Master of Nursing programs at a number of institutions in
California and around the country.  This presentation will cover
requirements and the application process for both accelerated BSN and
entry-level MSN programs.

This will also be an opportunity to learn more about the UCR pre nursing
student organization - Discover Nursing.

2.     UC IRVINE PRE MED CONFERENCE CARPOOL     Saturday, April 1

If you are planning to attend the UC Irvine LMSA pre - med conference and
are interested in a carpool, please email mhcp at ucr.edu indicating your
interest and we will help facilitate that.

 

3.     ON CAMPUS PEER MENTOR RECRUITMENT         Wednesday, March 30
11am - 2pm            Outside Student Services Building

On Wednesday, various campus organizations will hold a recruitment fair for
all students interested in becoming peer mentors for various organizations
and departments.  The Medical and Health Careers Program will participate
and we are available to share more information about the program and
