Dear All,

I received today's update and the first floor work has not yet been completed and thus our operations will continue remotely for the remainder of this week and the beginning of next week. I expect an update next Tuesday on the completion of the work and availability of temporary cooling units. I hope to have the most recent timeline by the end of this week to share with you once available.

Our new revised target return to office date will be Wednesday, July 19th. The temperatures are expected to very hot the next few days, so please take that into consideration when determining where to work.

Again, thank you for your continued patience and understanding while this work is completed.

Best,
Melissa

Dear All,

I have received another update regarding the status of the AC installation . The contractor is hopeful that the duct work can be completed on the first floor next Tuesday should no additional delays arise, and at the earliest deliver some limited temp cooling units to us sometime Wednesday. With this latest status update, our administrative team will continue remote operations through next Wednesday to allow for the delivery of the temp units to us on Wednesday for use on Thursday. Our revised return to office date is now Thursday, July 13th. I know this installation has caused disruption to some of you, but we continue to work with the Campus to ensure the this is completed as soon as possible. I hope to have a rough estimated timeline sometime by mid next week as to when all the units that affect our spaces will be completed to aid in your planning.

Next week is expected to be a warm week, so please take that into consideration when deciding whether to work in the building or remotely.

Best,
Melissa

Dear All,

I received an update late this afternoon from the Project Manager and it appears that the duct work needed to bring the 1st two units on the first floor online still has yet to be completed. This delays our ability to obtain temporary cooling options that are currently in use downstairs. Thus we will have to extend remote operations for the remainder of the week. I expect another update on Thursday and will keep you posted.

Again thank you for your patience and understanding.

Best,
Melissa

Dear All,

I have received an update from the Project Manager and the contractors have encountered delays in getting the first floor AC units online to free up the temporary units for us to use. Thus, we do need to extend our remote operations and now have a tentative revised return date of Wednesday, July 5th. I expect another update on Monday, the 3rd and will apprise you all of the status of things after that update.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Best,
Melissa

Subject: Skye Hall AC installation- Temperatures on 2nd floor

Dear All,

As early as 8:30am, our admin suite was almost at 80 degrees and reports of other areas on the floor being warm as well. I have been in contact with the Project Manager regarding the AC installation and I am expecting another update on Monday with more information. There are 14 units that were placed on the roof and only the first is in process of being brought online today. The units apparently must be brought online in a sequential order and the units affecting the 2nd floor are not scheduled until sometime next week thus the temperatures in the department spaces may fluctuate and may not be the best option for work until the units are fully online. The new units will take a total of almost 2 weeks for installation to be complete.

Unfortunately the administrative suite has become too warm for our staff to work in and temporary cooling devices are not available until sometime next week when the first floor is online and no longer needs them. At this time, our team will be working remotely beginning this afternoon through at least Monday. Once I receive an update from the Project Manager and ability to find temporary solutions, I will send an update out to all. I highly recommend remote work for those that are able to accommodate it until the temperatures stabilize.

Should you need any assistance or have urgent items, please contact the appropriate team via phone, email, or zoom. For any issues or questions related to the AC installation, please contact me or James.

Best,
Melissa
