[IIGB_All] Sanger Sequencer Upgrade Next Week

Good afternoon IIGB users,

We are pleased to announce that our 3730XL Sanger Sequencer is going to receive an upgrade which includes all new components and operating software. This is a major event, and Thermo-Fisher requires 5 business days to complete the upgrade.

The dates that Sanger will be unavailable are Jan 24-Jan 30. We plan to sequence on Monday Jan 22, posting data on Tuesday Jan 23, and then closing out the instrument. We will resume sequencing on Wednesday Jan 31.

Of course, you may continue to drop off samples as you have them ready. We will keep them in our deli 4C and process them in the order received, once the upgrade is complete.
