[HWS-announcements] Launching The WellRide (Pilot): Transportation Support for SHCC Appointments

Dear Campus Partners,

On behalf of HWS Holistic Health, we’re excited to announce The WellRide, a
pilot transportation support service to help UCR students access their
Student Health & Counseling Center (SHCC) medical and clinical appointments.


*Service start: Thursday, September 25 at 9:00 AM Hours: Monday–Friday,
9:00 AM–4:00 PM*

*What it is*
The WellRide provides ride support for students who need transportation to
get to and from scheduled SHCC appointments. The program is a collaboration
between The Well, Student Health Services (SHS), Counseling & Psychological
Services (CAPS), and Case Management.

*How students book*

   - Students must first have an SHCC appointment.
   - After scheduling with SHCC, students can use the “Book Now” link in
   their SHCC appointment email confirmation to request a WellRide.

*Important (Pilot) Notes*

   - At the moment, this effort is not intended for campus-wide promotion.
   - *Please share only within HWS and E & G Centers. *
   - Rides are only for students with a demonstrated transportation need
   related to an SHCC appointment.
   - This is not a general campus shuttle.
