Hello HWS Family!



Basic Needs is excited to join HWS Engagement Team again to bring you back
a fun, well-participated, and impactful initiative — RAMEN RUMBLE!


As you know, many of our students’ CalFresh / EBT funds are at a halt,
pending our government shutdown. Basic Needs has been extremely impacted as
more students are accessing services to help fill in the gaps in their
grocery funds. As a united HWS division we're inviting all of our
departments to join forces in a friendly competition to help stock
the R’Pantry shelves with one of the most in-demand items: ramen noodles.
>From November 5 to December 5, each department will have a donation box
delivered to your office to collect non-perishable, shelf-stable ramen noodles
of all varieties.



Together we can make a big difference! The department that gathers the most
donations will receive the coveted *Golden Bowl Trophy*, presented by Basic
Needs and HWS Engagement Team at our Annual HWS All-staff Winter Gathering
on December 18.


*Some guidelines:* Please ensure that donation boxes are kept separated by
department especially critical in shared or common areas to maintain
accurate tracking. The winning department will be determined by the highest
ratio of ramen donated per full-time professional staff member.
