Attention Residents of the Salton Sea Region (Riverside and Imperial County): Have you been impacted by the air quality surrounding the Salton Sea and/or want to learn more about it?

The Center for Health Disparities Research at the University of California Riverside (HDR at UCR) has partnered with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) under guidance of the Salton Sea Planning Committee to facilitate a series of digital community forums and informational sessions focused on health disparities and air quality surrounding the Salton Sea region.

These forums will provide residents with the opportunity to learn and discuss together. They will serve as a platform for participants to express their thoughts, questions, and concerns. To register for our series and learn more, visit atu.cr/saltonseaair<http://atu.cr/saltonseaair>

Below are the various dates for the forums we will be hosting and the topics of discussion on Wednesdays from 6-8pm:

     *   Dust emissions over time and dust composition (pesticides, metals)
     *   Potential health effects of hydrogen sulfide emissions and monitoring
     *   Shoreline mapping and citizen science

     *   Tracking California
     *   Health impacts from exposure to Salton Sea air pollutants
     *   School children and asthma in Imperial and Riverside counties

     *   Tribal air monitoring program
     *   Indoor air filtration to remove dust and gasses
     *   Environmental justice activities to address air pollution

Atención residentes de la región de la Laguna de Saltón (condado de Riverside e Imperial): ¿Ha sido afectado por la calidad del aire en la Laguna del Saltón Sea, o le gustaría aprender más sobre este tema?

HDR at UCR está colaborando con el Consejo Para Recursos del Aire de California con la ayuda del comité de planeación de la laguna del Saltón Sea para crear una serie de foros virtuales y sesiones informativas enfocadas en los impactos en la salud debido a la calidad del aire de la región cercana a la laguna del Saltón Sea.
