Thanks for your email, Brianna. Your point is very important and critical. I am not aware of any specific investigator or community academic team working on this exact issue in HDR. However, I collaborate with faculty in CNAS and others on campus who focus on air quality and PM2.5 . From vehicle emissions is a priority. This is especially being investigated in CE-CERT (a center on campus) additionally Dr. Lo’s BREATHE center also addresses such concerns.



What I think is missing is community engagement in already existing work. Dr. McMullin and I actually are submitting a grant next week which would address exactly this—how do we engage health disparity communities in research on air quality, who needs to be involved, and what’s at stake.



So it’s on the horizon!
