[Gradstudents] Call for proposals: $1,500 stipend

Dear SOE PhD Students:



The SOE is now accepting application for the Linda Scott Hendrick and Irving G. Hendrick Fund as outlined below:



Linda Scott Hendrick and Irving G. Hendrick Fund Request for Proposals

Complete a research project, literature review or policy brief related to collaborative, cross disciplinary research linking systematic education, health and public policy practices that will close achievement gaps and lead to systemic school improvement within the Riverside and San Bernardino region. The recipient will be awarded a $1,500 stipend upon completion of the project in Summer 2024. *Must be a PhD student to apply.



Recipient will present project at SOE sponsored event and will also be invited to discuss their work in a meeting with the Dean and Linda and Irv Hendrick.



Project deadline: August 31, 2024

Application instructions: Submit an abstract outlining proposed project - 1 page double-spaced in the Qualtrics application by 5pm on March 15, 2024. Recipients will be selected by April 1, 2024



Award Event

Scholarship recipients will be invited to a scholarship luncheon on April 19, 2024 from 11:45am to 1:30pm on campus to meet with the donor. The Director of Development, Kelly Kraus-Lee, and Development Coordinator, John Batres, will be in contact with recipients regarding further details.
