[Gradstudents] [REMINDER] Scholarship application - Dean Irving Balow Award

Dear SOE Graduate Students,

The School of Education (SOE) is now accepting applications for the Dean Irving Balow award ($4,110.59). Applicants must be current SOE students in the PhD program and be enrolled in Spring 2023 for the award to disburse.

Note: scholarship recipients will be invited to a scholarship luncheon on April 7, 2023 from 11:30am to 1:30pm on campus to meet with the donor. The Director of Development, Kelly Kraus-Lee, will be in contact with recipients regarding further details.

The minimum cumulative GPA to be eligible for this award is a 3.500 as of Fall 2022. Applicants must include an essay that demonstrates their financial need for this award in addition to demonstration of scholarship, academic promise, and merit . Essays should be 1-2 pages double-spaced in APA format, and submitted as a PDF.

Scholarship applications are due online by 5pm on March 19, 2023.
