Dear SOE Graduate Students:

The American Educational Research Association (AERA) is a national research society that "strives to advance knowledge about education, to encourage scholarly inquiry related to education, and to promote the use of research to improve education and serve the public good." This society is open to all fields of education, so it is an ideal professional organization for all SOE graduate students.

Each year, several faculty and graduate students attend the annual conference<https://www.aera.net/Events-Meetings/2023-Annual-Meeting> to share their work and learn from their peers. This year, the conference will be held in-person in Chicago, followed by a virtual conference. Registration is currently open; early bird discount deadline is March 10th.

In-person conference dates: April 13-16
Virtual conference date: May 4-5

If you're presenting at the upcoming conference, send your information to our Director of Communications, Julie Porter (julie.porter at ucr.edu<mailto:julie.porter at ucr.edu>), to share with the SOE community. While you're there or afterwards, send in your photos for a conference round-up.
