[Gradstudents] Employment Opportunity for Winter 2022 – Reader Position

Dear SOE Graduate Students:
The SOE is now accepting applications for two reader positions for Winter 2022:
Application requires a cover letter indicating prior teaching experience, CV/resume and any additional documentation you feel is pertinent to express your teaching expertise (ex: teaching evaluations). The application deadline for this position is 5 pm on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
The duties and responsibilities of this position are to grade assignments and exams as directed by the course instructor. Attendance in the course itself is not required. The hourly pay rate for graduate students is $17.26.
This opportunity is available to interested M.Ed., M.A. and Ph.D. students who:

·         Are making adequate progress toward completion of their degree

·         Have a cumulative grade average of 3.0 or above

·         Have received at least a “B” in a course similar to the course in question and/or

·         Have other academic or professional expertise in the subject matter

Delves deeper into the support structures and opportunities on campus for undergraduates. Engages in short- and long-term goal setting. Explores student success strategies and building community in the cohort.
Experience with using elearn/Canvas to provide feedback on assignments and enter grades.
Up to 12 hours per week; Start Date and final appointment percentage is subject to when the appointment is confirmed and course enrollment numbers.
