Dear GSOE Faculty, Staff, and Students,

Welcome to the spring 2021 quarter!

This quarter marks one full year that we have been participating in learning and instruction, and all other aspects of university life, remotely. In this context, this last year has been challenging to say the least, and I continue to be inspired by the commitment, persistence, and resolve of our GSOE faculty, staff, and students. While the 10-week quarter structure creates a set of opportunities and challenges every term for all of us, before we know it we will be celebrating our 2021 graduates.

In the spirit of new beginnings this spring, I encourage you to take full advantage of all of the university resources available, check-in with peers and colleagues, and seek out ways to create balance between your university work and the other parts of your lives that bring you hope, happiness, and optimism.
