The Texas A&M College of Medicine, Office of Evaluation and Assessment (OEA), has a position open for a Program Manager of Assessment.  The work location for the position is Bryan, Round Rock, Houston, or Dallas, Texas.  We believe this position may be of interest to recent or upcoming graduates of your programs at the University of California - Riverside.  At a minimum, the candidate should have a master’s degree in one of the following:  in Assessment and Evaluation, Quantitative Psychology, Statistics, Educational Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Quantitative Methods, or a similar field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Primary responsibilities include:



§  Measuring student learning outcomes and aligning instruction with assessments; design, implementation, and data management methodologies appropriate for educational evaluation and research.

§  Conducting psychometric analyses of assessment instruments using classical test theory, item response theory, and standard setting.

§  Using quantitative data, with demonstrated proficiency in data management and analytic software; management of educational and statistical software.

§  Preparing and communicating both written and oral reports of educational evaluation, assessment, and research to multiple stakeholders.

§  Ensuring that students achieve the medical school’s programmatic objectives (i.e., outcome evaluation).

§  Developing and implementing procedures for the administration of the assessment program and supervision of team members.



In addition, the person in the position will have an opportunity to pursue educational research, and should have quantitative analysis skills and an interest in providing education research consultation with faculty.
