[Geospatial] Students: Present your work at the 2025 Maker Week Competition; AND a cultural resources employment opportunity

Hello everyone,

I have two items to share.

First,
The 2025 Maker Week Competition<https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2025-maker-week-competition-tickets-1312175465139?aff=oddtdtcreator>, sponsored by UCR Library, has been opened up beyond students using the Creat'R Lab<https://library.ucr.edu/research-support/making-and-innovation/creatr-lab-makerspace> to include any undergraduate or graduate student with a tangible or digital project to share! And yes, that includes maps, StoryMaps, etc.

This is a great opportunity for students to practice their presentation skills by sharing about their creative work. Presentations can be up to 10 minutes in length. Prizes will be awarded!

The event will be held on Friday, May 9 from 2:00-3:00 pm, on Zoom or in-person in Orbach Science Library Room 122. Use the Eventbrite link<https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2025-maker-week-competition-tickets-1312175465139?aff=oddtdtcreator> to register to attend.

Anyone interested in participating in the competition is encouraged to fill out this Google Form<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScg0FryPVoDK82437M478K8LFTQ0dEVCdNdvV4JvVRPbLwRcQ/viewform> to submit their project and view the competition rubric.
