A reminder that our next Geospatial/GIS meetup will be tomorrow, Tuesday, September 17 from 12:00-12:50 pm, in Rivera Library, Room 140 and on Zoom.

(To find Rivera 140: turn right after entering Rivera Library. Keep walking until you pass the elevators. Room 140 is on the corner of the hallway you’ll see to your left.)

To welcome geospatial folks who are new to UCR, and to update anyone currently at UCR about the scope of available resources, our topic will be Geospatial Resources at UCR.

Although UCR doesn't have a Geography department or a coordinated GIS instruction program, we have numerous resources related to maps, geospatial information, and geographic information systems (GIS). Learn how UCR Library and other entities at UCR, as well as the wider UC system, can support your journey in using this critically important skill set. And tell us about any gaps in the offerings you'd like to see filled!

The meetup will start with announcements of general interest.
