Hello everyone,
and welcome to Fall quarter, Highlanders!

Our next Geospatial/GIS meetup will be on Tuesday, October 10 from 12:00-12:50 pm.

The meetup will be held in Rivera Library, Room 140 and on Zoom.
(To find Rivera 140: turn right after entering Rivera Library. Keep walking until you pass the elevators. Room 140 is on the corner of the hallway you'll see to your left.)
Via Zoom, Dr. Kiran Manchikanti will give an introduction to and demonstration of the ground-breaking geospatial technology called Fuse.Earth<https://fuse.earth/>(tm).

Ever since its founding in 2015, Mapsol Geo<https://mapsolgeo.com/>, a GIS software company, has been actively involved in a range of GIS projects serving a variety of clients in the sectors of engineering, geosciences, agriculture, economics, and more. The many use cases and users that Mapsol served constantly resonated one point: end users are GIS-challenged. GIS is advanced and can help solve problems, but it is also complex. Dr. Manchikanti always maintained that an easy-to-use GIS tool will help a solve a greater number of problems with increased efficiency and efficacy. Geospatial data and tools must be available to one and all without having to go through a long learning process. Evolving this penchant for enhanced geospatial awareness for all, Mapsol Geo developed an entirely reimagined GIS platform from scratch so the users can interact with maps, geospatial data, analysis, and get their answers in an efficient way.

Please see the attached graphic for more information.

Dr. Manchikanti is founder and CEO of Mapsol. He has a PhD in GIS from University of Wisconsin-Madison, and lives in Beaumont.

This meetup will start with announcements of general interest.
A reminder email sent the day before the meetup will contain the Zoom information.
Another option: if you register through Eventbrite<https://www.eventbrite.com/e/geospatialgis-meetups-tickets-722880223207>, you'll receive an automated email with the Zoom information.
The meetup will be recorded.
Feel free to forward this invitation to anyone you know who may be interested, especially geospatial folks who are new to UCR!

Best,
