[Geospatial] A survey, and few updates

Hello everyone,

I hope this finds you all well!

Just have a few items to share --

Survey: Help plan for Winter Term by taking this quick survey<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfjuU_ut6096bCo4enfTYmNnlyYu3NbXTb6mSPKt_pm_0Ax-w/viewform?usp=sf_link> on the most convenient times for our geospatial/GIS meetups. The survey also gives you the opportunity to volunteer for giving a presentation in Winter, Spring, or in the future.

UC GIS Week: The inaugural UC GIS Week was held Nov. 17-19. Especially for an all-volunteer, no-budget, let's-give-it-a-try effort, it was a success! Over 850 people registered; UCR affiliates were well-represented among attendees and presenters. Our thanks to all who participated, especially our UCR presenters: Ahmed Eldawy, Andre Mere, Elia Scudiero, Emily Esposito, and Nic Barth.

Staffing update: Sadly, I share the news that Karen Jordan has left UCR. Karen's title was GIS Manager in the Facilities Services Department. She was a wealth of information and GIS expertise, and a core member of our community - she'll be missed!

At least in the short term, ArcGIS Administration on the campus side of things will be in a limited capacity, but please reach out to Elizabeth Perez (elizabeth.perez at ucr.edu) if there are any admin questions.

Lastly: On December 1 I'll be sending out a calendar invitation for our next meetup, which will be held on December 15.
