Oregon State University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant
Professor position focusing on irrigated crop entomology (brief description
below). We'd really appreciate your help in getting the word out to
potential applicants.

*Oregon State University’s (OSU) Hermiston Agricultural Research and
Extension Center (HAREC) invites applications for a full-time, 1.0 FTE,
tenure-track Assistant Professor position as an Irrigated Crop Entomology
Extension Specialist with a statewide assignment. The position, located at
HAREC in eastern Oregon, has an academic home in the Department of Crop and
Soil Science. The incumbent will lead the development, implementation,
synthesis, and evaluation of extension and research programs in arthropod
pest management to support sustainable irrigated farming systems. The
incumbent is expected to work with stakeholder groups, local industry, and
county extension agents to develop an applied research program and deliver
research-based solutions.*

*HAREC is the premier irrigated agricultural experiment station of OSU,
Oregon’s Land Grant University. HAREC serves nearly 500,000 acres of
irrigated agriculture in Oregon and Washington's Columbia Basin, and is one
of the largest experiment stations within CAS. The center concentrates on
discovery and implementation of agricultural and horticultural
opportunities and provides solutions to production constraints. Situated in
northeastern Oregon in Umatilla County, Hermiston is centrally located
between the major cities of Portland, Spokane and Boise. The historic
inhabitants of the area were the indigenous Umatilla, Cayuse, and Walla
Walla Indians. Hermiston’s proximity to the recreation areas of the Blue
