Hello,

You may recall that last fall, we received individual messages from the School of Medicine requiring us to verify we had received an annual flu vaccine if working on campus. We have been informed that the flu vaccine is mandated for on-campus personnel through June 30, 2021.

Although the link in the message from UCR HR refers to questions related to the COVID vaccine, there is currently no mandate in place.

Questions regarding the flu vaccine requirement should be emailed to FV-20-21 at medsch.ucr.edu<mailto:FV-20-21 at medsch.ucr.edu>.

Dear DA's,

Per the email below, the flu vaccine mandate has been extended to June 30, 2021. This means that employees who did not receive a flu vaccine and did not request a medical or religious exemption should not be on UC property until after 6/30/2021.

Hello HROG.

I just received a communication regarding the flu vaccine. According to the communication from UCOP the flu vaccination requirement will remain in effect through June 30, 2021.

Here's the information that was released and what our campus will adhere to:

18. Is immunization against influenza still required? The UC requirement for influenza vaccination is still in effect through June 30. A determination has not yet been made whether the influenza immunization requirement will be continued for the 2021-2022 academic year. Any changes or continuation of that requirement will be announced at a later date.
