[Entm-researchstaff] Main ENT BLDG (Thurs 9/3) and Chapman ( Tues 9/8)- EHS visit

Hello Faculty, Staff and Grad Students,

Marc Arteaga from EHS will be coming to the Main Ent Bldg this Thursday 9/1 to certify the Fume hoods that Facilities recently fixed.

The following rooms have fume hoods that were fixed but now need to be recertified: 117, 211 , 217, 226, 241, 269, 275, 378, 387.

The following rooms have active fume hoods that will also have to be surveyed: 287, 329, 332, 344, 372, 375, 384.

In addition to inspecting the fume hoods in these rooms, he will also be surveying the ventilation/eyewash equipment and stickers will be added to all rooms that have them.

These are 2 separate issues and normally they would have needed 2 visits to do this, but I have asked that they consolidate the visit to 1x to avoid disturbing labs unnecessarily. I know many of you have ongoing experiments and this is an interruption with the new Covid rules. I apologize but it must be done. As far as I know (this keeps changing), this is the last visit for a while if he can get these 2 issues done together.

He anticipates being there all day and he knows he has to sign into labs per the Covid rules. Please inform staff/students not on this list.

He will be doing the same for Chapman Hall on Tuesday 9/8.

If anyone has a serious issue with the visit this Thursday 9/3 (MAIN ENTOMOLOGY BLDG) or the following Tuesday 9/8 (CHAPMAN), please let me know ASAP so we can coordinate a different time.
