Hello everyone!

We're excited to share that the *Gómez-Pompa Symposium* is coming up
on *Wednesday,
May 13th* in the UCR Genomics Auditorium. This year's event is held in
memory of Dr. Arturo Gómez-Pompa, with the theme "Native Knowledge and
Molecular Innovation in Domestication."

We have a fantastic lineup of speakers and would love to see your research
featured alongside them.

Symposium schedule
9:30 - 10:50 AM     Poster Session & Morning Coffee
11:00 - 11:50 AM    Invited Talk: Exequiel Ezcurra
12:00 - 12:50 PM   Lunch
1:00 - 2:30 PM       Early Career Short Talks
2:30 - 3:20 PM       Invited Talks: Edith Allen & Michael Allen
3:30 - 4:20 PM       Gómez-Pompa Keynote Lecture: Rodolfo Dirzo
4:30 - 6:30 PM       Symposium Dinner

*We still have openings for talks and posters*, submissions are welcome
from across all areas of botany and ecology, *even if your work doesn't fit
the theme perfectly*. There will be gift card prizes for best poster and
speaker. Short talk and poster registration closes May 8th, and *priority
will be given to applications submitted prior to May 1st,* so don't wait!
