The project will explore how by-products of industrial insect rearing can be used to supplement or replace synthetic fertilizers in agriculture. We will study how these products affect plant growth and how their mineralization in the soil influences greenhouse gas emissions from crop fields. The work will be performed at Ag Ops adjacent to campus.
