Sending this job announcement around again - I am told that the USDA has
several lab tech positions open currently which they may fill from this one
application process. Also, the position is suitable for those with a BA/BS
or MS in entomology or related field with MS applicants potentially started
at a somewhat higher GS pay level.

Hey Alec,

It was great as always to catch up and I really enjoyed getting to spend
some time talking to Laura in person. Nancy sent this job posting out last
week, but I was hoping to drum up one last push for applicants. Would you
mind sharing this message with your departments list serve?

Interested in joining the USDA? I’m hiring a biological science laboratory
technician to join the Arthropod Borne Animal Diseases Research Unit
(ABADRU) in Manhattan, Kansas. Our unit primarily studies biting midges and
house flies, and my research will have a heavy molecular focus. While
experience in these areas is preferred, I would encourage anyone interested
to apply. The link to the job posting can be found below, but hurry, *the
application deadline is 07/11/2023*.
