Dear PHEFA Community –

The Entomological Society of America and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are very excited about the Public Health Entomology for All (PHEFA) initiative. If you are considering applying or recommending that someone else apply for a PHEFA internship, one-year fellowship, or two-year fellowship, the specific application requirements are now posted. To see the application requirements, scroll to the bottom of the PHEFA webpage<https://entsoc.org/advocacy-initiatives/public-health-entomology-for-all> and click on the relevant opportunity. Although the application portal will not open until December 15 potential applicants may begin to gather recommendation letters and draft responses to the prompts now. As you can imagine, the application for the two-year fellowship requires more thought and the timeline is tight. Individuals who are considering the two-year fellowship have more of an incentive to review the application requirements sooner.

Lastly, if you traveled to the Joint Annual Meeting (JAM), I hope you enjoyed it. If you have not already, please submit any requests for reimbursement by December 13 so that all requests can be processed before the end of the year.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Sincerely,
Stacie East
