undergraduate students who are interested in environmental science,
agriculture, and sustainability. Please encourage eligible students to

*Subject: You’re Invited to apply for $12000 - $20000 Digital Agricultural
Fellowship Program (Due 8/24/22)*



Dear UCR STEM Student,



You are invited to apply for a new and exciting fellowship opportunity
beginning Fall 2022 at UC Riverside. The Artificial Intelligence for
Sustainable Agriculture [AI4SA] program was established by a $10M USDA-NIFA
<https://news.ucr.edu/articles/2020/06/22/ucr-wins-10-million-develop-ai-sustainable-agriculture>
 grant and is looking for up to eight (8) highly motivated UCR STEM
undergraduates to accept in our *15-month Digital Agriculture Fellowship*
(DAF) program.

Deadline August 24, 2022 @ 1159pm.



Students will begin by participating in the DAF Program Fall 2022 ,
followed by paid research fellowship with their assigned Faculty-Mentors,
all while receiving professional development, seminars, career exploration,
graduate prep, additional paid research and/or externship opportunities
next summer. Students will also have the opportunity to attend and
participate in a prestigious all-expense paid trip to the sustainable
agriculture conference Fall 2023.

*Details 15-month fellowship:*



   - Paid academic year fellowship (9-months @ 12 hrs/wk)- $7020
   - Paid 10 Week Summer Research RISE Program (2023) - $5000
   - You will paired with one of eight UCR CO-PIs

*Eligibility Criteria:*

   - Undergraduate students should be in their sophomore, junior year or
   senior year (seniors must be graduating *not earlier than* Fall 2024) of
   their undergraduate degree and committed to the 15-month fellowship.
   - Minimum 3.0 GPA
   - Majors include:
      - Entomology, Plant Biology, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science,
      Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Geophysics, Computer Science,
      Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering *(focus on
environmental,
      agricultural, and sustainability)
   - Students should be in their sophomore or junior year of their
   undergraduate degree and committed to the 15-month fellowship
   - Must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident per USDA grant guidelines
