Dear colleagues,

I am in the process of recruiting a Research Assistant for my lab. Please forward to anyone you think may be interested.

The Vargo lab in the Department of Entomology at Texas A&M University is recruiting a Research Assistant to coordinate applied research with industry partners. The position requires a BS in a biological science with a preference for an MS degree. The Vargo lab conducts research and training programs on the biology and management of urban pests. The main responsibilities of the position are to work with industry partners to design and carry out research projects in the development and registration of new insecticides and the development of new technologies for urban pest management. Research will involve both laboratory and field studies. There are opportunities to conduct independent research, to publish papers and to present research results at scientific conferences. We work with a diversity of urban insect pests, including termites, ants, cockroaches, bed bugs, mosquitoes and scorpions. The successful applicant will be someone who is motivated, organized, has some knowledge of urban entomology, has some research experience, is a good communicator, and who works well with others.

The position comes with full benefits, including health insurance and retirement contributions. For see the full announcement and to apply for the position, please visit: https://tamus.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/AgriLife_Research_External/job/College-Station-AL-RSCH/Research-Assistant_R-037804
