Dear English Majors,

I hope you’re all well and had a good summer break.

Welcome to Fall Quarter 2025!

We’ll be starting classes tomorrow, and I’m excited about the new quarter and returning to our classes.

Here is some information about classess in general from our enrollment specicalist, Karla González:

On-Campus Space for Remote Learning – if you are looking for spaces on campus to participate in remote courses to the following link: https://keeplearning.ucr.edu/campus-space-remote-learning

· Students can add or drop a course freely up until Friday, October 10th. Students can continue adding after Friday of Week 2, but they do so via an online Enrollment Adjustment Form <https://registrar.ucr.edu/registering/enrollment-adjustments> (EAF) that is routed to their Primary Academic Advisor.

· Waitlisted students: These students are in chronological order in terms of when they added the waitlist. We are unable to prioritize any student above another.

· Courses with discussions: TAs can't grant permission to switch or add a course. Only the instructor leading the course is permitted to approve enrollment into a course.
o If a student has a valid reason for wanting to switch sections (where waitlists are active) they will need to wait until Week 3 and submit an online Enrollment Adjustment Form <https://registrar.ucr.edu/registering/enrollment-adjustments> (EAF).

· Concurrent Enrollment / UCR Extension Students: Students should use this link <https://extension.ucr.edu/helpcenterstudentresources/registration/concurrentenrollment>.

FYI! I hope this information helps if you have questions on these topics.

See you on campus,

Dr. Tobias

"We at UCR would like to respectfully acknowledge and recognize our responsibility to the original and current caretakers of this land, water, and air: the Cahuilla, Tongva, Luiseño, and Serrano peoples and all of their ancestors and descendants, past, present, and future. Today this meeting place is home to many Indigenous peoples from all over the world, including UCR faculty, students, and staff, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to live and work on these homelands."
