Hi Everyone,
Lidia Monsivais would like to welcome you to join in with EMA activities.
See below, and definitely plan on taking part!
Dr. Tobias
**********
Hello everybody & happy Winter Quarter! On behalf of the EMA officers, we just wanted to
take a moment to invite you to join the English Majors Association and come to our weekly
meetings. Our group is open to ALL majors and we welcome everybody eager to find a
community of creatives on campus!
In case you’re unfamiliar with our group, we’re a multidisciplinary literary community here at
UCR hoping to bring together people of similar interests and foster a safe haven for creatives of
all majors & fields of interest. We host a weekly “book club,” hold alumni events, connect with
our professors, and explore post-grad opportunities. This year, we're hoping to reach out to new
members and connect with a wider range of students.
The best way to stay updated on our meetings and events is to follow us on Instagram at
@emaatucr. That’s where we’ll have our weekly meeting time & date posted, as well as the
themes and events for each meeting! This quarter, meetings occur every Monday from 4:00 pm
to 5:00 pm in the English Department Library (HMNSS 2211) starting week one and lasting
through week ten. Feel free to drop into our meetings and/or message us on social media if you
have any questions or want to learn more about our group!
Thank you & have a wonderful quarter!

"We at UCR would like to respectfully acknowledge and recognize our responsibility to the original and current caretakers of this land, water, and air: the Cahuilla, Tongva, Luiseño, and Serrano peoples and all of their ancestors and descendants, past, present, and future. Today this meeting place is home to many Indigenous peoples from all over the world, including UCR faculty, students, and staff, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to live and work on these homelands."
