[English-undergrad] Fwd: Gilman Scholarship Writing Workshop | UCR Education Abroad

Hello,

I wanted to let you know that a friend and I will be co-hosting a writing
workshop for the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship through the UCR Education
Abroad Office. This scholarship helped fund my studies in Oaxaca and
offered me further opportunities in Colombia. The U.S. Department of
State’s Gilman Program supports students of limited financial means to
study or intern abroad. This workshop will help students through the
application process and include tips to help with the writing of their
three required essays including a personal statement, building mutual
understanding prompt, and follow-on service project.

completion of their study abroad program, students will have access to the
Gilman Network which provides further opportunities for government
employment, fully-funded attendance at international conferences, and more.
