Transnational US Studies: A Conference in Honor of Emory Elliott
February 19-20, 2010
University of California, Riverside
Among Emory Elliott's many passions was the internationalization of American
Studies. Indeed, he was one of the initiators of its transnational turn,
rethinking political, geographical and disciplinary borders. Emory was
himself a transnational scholar, nurturing scholars in all parts of the

American cultures within a transnational context.
