Dear Graduate Advisors and Graduate Assistants,

I would like to take this opportunity to bring to your attention the UCLA
Graduate and Postdoctoral Extramural Support (GRAPES) Database.  This
database is available to all UC students and is a valuable resource for
students who are searching for external funding.  The link to this site is
on the Office of Research Affairs web site under the Research and
Development tab: http://www.ora.ucr.edu/RD/Search.aspx 
We send announcements out to students but I am surprised to learn that
faculty and staff are sometimes unaware of these search engines.   Give it a
try and see for yourself just how easy it is for your students to conduct
their own search for external support!  There are other large search engines
at this web site that are available to students so please encourage your
students to give them a try!
