U.S. Chicana/Latina Women’s Studies Job Announcement

The Women’s Studies Department at Wellesley College invites 
applicants foran entry-level tenure-track assistant 
professorship in U.S. Chicana/LatinaStudies. We seek 
candidates whose research and teaching interests include
any of the following fields: border studies, migrant and 
diasporiccultures, citizenship, urban studies, religion, 
politics, visual culture,media studies, cultural studies, 
feminist theory, and critical race
theory. Teaching load is 2-2.

We seek candidates who can contribute to the diversity and 
excellence of aliberal arts women’s college community 
through their research, teaching,and service.

Ph.D. in a relevant field (discipline open) must becompleted 
by August2007.

Applicants should provide a letter of application, 
curriculum vitae, threeletters of recommendation, a 
published paper or book chapter  (or work inprogress), a 
detailed description of teaching experience, proposals for women’s studies
courses, and teaching evaluations (if
