Thought this might be interesting to some of you. No need to join PAMLA
unless and until your proposed paper is accepted. Best, Steve

Subject: PAMLA sessions needing papers

Dear PAMLA members,

There are still some sessions for the 2005 PAMLA conference (held 11-13
November at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California) that need paper
submissions. I have listed these sessions below. Please consult the
website (www.pamla.org) for the names of the presiding officers and their
e-mail addresses for submissions. The deadline for submission to these
sessions has been extended to April 1. Please submit your abstracts (50
words, and 500 words) as soon as possible for consideration.

There were also several sessions this year that received an enormous amount
of submissions. If you submitted your paper to a session already, but would
like to have it rerouted to one of the sessions below for consideration,
please let the presiding officers know. This will help to redistribute the
wealth.

The sessions that still need papers are:

Beowulf and Related Topics
Brecht, Broadway, and American Theater
Chaucer and Related Topics
Ecocritical Approaches to Nature
Expanding the Canon: US Hispanic Literature
Early Female Cultures
Gay and Lesbian Studies
Film and Literature
Folklore and Mythology
Landscape-Emotion-Writing
Van Gogh in Literature, Film, and Culture

I hope to see you all in Malibu! (That sounds so pleasant, doesn't it?)

Sincerely,
Lorely French
PAMLA Executive Director
