Hi Julie,

This is Rolando Regino. I worked full time there at UCR in the Fall of 2003. Would it be possible for me to work at the summer institute, and if so, what do all the responsibilities consist of?

  Dear Friends--

I know you have all received notices already, but I wish to
personally encourage those of you who do not have summer
teaching obligations lined up to consider joining us in the 5-
week Summer Institute of the Inland Area Writing Project. It
is a wonderful and enriching opportunity that pays you a
stipend of $750 while you spend your time on your own writing
and working with other teachers on writing assignments and
  activities.

We limit the number of participants (Fellows) to 20, working
with a staff of six former Fellows as Co-Directors and
Facilitators in small writing groups. We still have a couple
  of spaces left.

I am looking forward to Co-Directing again this summer.
When I did the Institute a couple of years ago, the five
weeks of intense writing and fellowship with other teachers
gave me a much-needed boost not only in my own teaching, but
also in my whole experience as a writer.

The Institute runs from June 27 to July 28, four days a week,
9 to 4. If you have any questions or you want to see about
joining us, please contact me at julia.brett at ucr.edu<mailto:julia.brett at ucr.edu>, or
Martha Plender at plndrps at aol.com<mailto:plndrps at aol.com> or (951) 827-3667.

  Thanks,

  Julie Brett
