Announcing SPEAKS – Science to Policy Education: Activating Knowledge for Sustainable Transportation!

SPEAKS is a new NSF Graduate Student Research Traineeship program which trains STEM-focused UCR doctoral students to integrate engineering, social science, environmental science and public policy to conduct research focused on decarbonization of the transportation sector and promote environmental justice and equality.

SPEAKS is a perfect opportunity for incoming and current UCR Ph.D. students interested in sustainable transportation and public policy providing a valuable multi-disciplinary education, training, and professional development program. SPEAKS offers one-year funded fellowships for US citizens, US nationals, and permanent residents. International students are encouraged to participate in the program as non-funded Trainees.
