Hi Professor,

My name is Peter Lu, Marketing Lead for BearHack at the University of
California, Riverside. I am reaching out to you because we are hosting the
first hackathon of the quarter on the day of the event (April 27-28th 2024).

This year the Biomedical Engineering Society will host BearHack, a
healthcare-themed hackathon at the University of California, Riverside. Our
mission is to foster connections among students and sponsors to cultivate
an environment centered around creating solutions to healthcare related
projects. We encourage all students of any field of study - engineering or
non-engineering - to participate in our event and develop valuable
technical/teamwork skills in a safe and intellectual environment. We would
greatly appreciate it if you could send this to ds and statistics
undergrads for this exciting event. I have attached more information below:


Are you ready for the first hackathon of the quarter?! Bearhack 2024 will
be held on April 27-28th! Bearhack is a 24-hour medical-technology-focused
hackathon at UCR 🐻

Not a bio-related major? No problem! Many past winning projects are mobile
apps, websites, AI software, and hardware projects. 🧑‍💻

Don't know how to code? No problem! Run for our Best Startup track and
develop a business plan to wow the judges, or learn from many coding-related
workshops during the hackathon and during our hack-week!! 💻

Get our awesome merch like stickers, metal-flask water bottles, t-shirts,
and tote bags (collect multiple colors)! We'll be launching our new line of
merch for the first 50 participants! 🌱

This event is free to attend and meals will be provided as well as sleeping
areas! You do not have to be a UCR student to attend and *all majors are
welcome to attend this beginner friendly hackathon!*
