Please encourage underfunded students to apply for this position.  We are looking for consultants ASAP!

Graduate Division is seeking two part-time writing consultants to work 4 hours/week in the Graduate Writing Center.  Compensation is $20/hour and consultants are responsible for meeting with individual graduate students for 50 minute writing appointments.  Consultants may also be invited to prepare 50 minute writing workshops.  Applicants must be available to work Mondays or Thursdays.  Graduate students from the sciences, engineering, and social sciences are particularly encouraged to apply.

Compensation: $20/Hour for Fall Quarter with possible renewal for Winter and Spring
Minimum Requirements:

  *   UCR graduate student in good academic standing
  *   Availability to work Mondays or Thursdays
Preferred Requirements:

  *   Training or experience in the teaching of writing
  *   Past experience tutoring writing
  *   Understanding of diverse academic genre
  *   Experience with international students and English language learners
