Hello,

Please inform your graduate students that applications for the University Teaching Certificate program are now being accepted.  The University Teaching Certificate (UTC) program is an instructional training and certification program for graduate students that is designed to assist university-level instructors in developing teaching and lecturing strategies, and becoming members of the professional teaching community. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive:
*  A University Teaching Certificate that is signed by the Graduate Division Dean
*  An invitation to the Graduate Division award ceremony in June 2012 for a banquet dinner and certification conferral
*  A confidential letter of reference from the Graduate Professional Development Director
To apply, submit an application form, non-confidential letter of reference, three teaching evaluations, and a letter of interest. Application packets are due no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 5th at the University Office Building, Room 122.
