Academic Job Search Seminar Series:
Drafting a Pedagogical Statement, Sample Syllabus/Course Proposal
Tuesday, November 27, 12:00-1:00pm
University Office Building, 145

Many community college, liberal arts, four-year university, and postdoc applications require a statement of pedagogy and a sample syllabus or course proposal. But, what does a successful statement of pedagogy look like? What is a search committee looking for in a course proposal? What should be included in a sample syllabus and what should be excluded? This workshop, led by Professor John Briggs from the University Writing Program, will give tips for drafting an effective teaching pedagogy and navigating the teaching documents required by many applications.

Please see the attached flyer for more information.
