Subject: Dialogue/Debate Program for UCR students and Professors
Hello Professor Lalami,

My name is Nazir Katbi, Project Manager at UCMeTalk, Inc., located in Irvine, California.

UCMeTalk is a student funded project conceived by a coalition of UCI, UCLA, UC Davis, UCSD, and UCR students. Our team is composed of very passionate individuals whose aim is to produce a beneficial networking tool for UC students and professors alike. Our mission is to provide a video networking medium for college students to meet and network with other students that would previously be unavailable to them. We have been featured in the Daily Bruin and the California Aggie at UC Davis and UCLA, and are set to launch October 2012, at the beginning of the next quarter. I have provided a link to our website below for more information regarding the product we are delivering:

One of the primary functions we wish to bring to our site is a series of organized dialogue and debate rooms, paralleled with featured debates. Our goal is to give students the opportunity to discuss topics in the fields of civil rights, religion, philosophy, current events, environmental studies, political science, student organization activity, and campus-wide activity that affects their day to day lives and heavily influences the field they will be pursuing a career in. We would love it if Creative Writing students and professors alike participated in said forums and possible debates due to the larger inclusive perspective writing students seem to have.

We were hoping that you would be able to forward this message to your students and the remainder of the department, and we would love to hear any insight you may have on the matter. Professors are encouraged to register as well, as your knowledge and experience is something that I think all students can appreciate on our site. We're all extremely passionate about this project, and we sincerely believe that it can benefit the UCR community as a whole.

Thank you very much professor, and if you have any questions about UCMeTalk, please contact me at , or reply by email.
