[CW-Grad] This Sunday at WORDSPACE: UCR Faculty, Alum, Students

Wordspace (Brenda Varda, MFA 2009) hosts an evening of UCR readers this
Sunday night, March 13th, PLUS would love to hear open reads from other UCR
attendees.   Wordspace is a writing studio in Los Angeles (Atwater Village)
serving the community with classes, workshop, events, and inspirations.
Students have produced novels, plays, screenplays, interactive websites,
memoirs, poems and more.  AND we just got non-profit status through the
EMERGE program.  So the first year has been fruitful, exciting, dangerous,
and fine.   Would love to have you join our celebration.

 

The evening starts at 6:00 PM, but there are sign-ups for open slots at
5:30.  Nibbles and beverages.  $5 suggested donation. 

 

Slated to read sections of their new work are the following UCR reps:

Finding us: the first time is a trip,   the second drive is sublime..

Off the 2 (going South towards the 5):

                Exit Fletcher

                Right or East on to Fletcher

                Left at La Clede (a stop light right before going under the
rails)

                Right on Minneapolis: Dead end at Casitas -  park in any of
the LARGE PARKING LOTS (free)

                Enter the building to the South at the side door ( there
will be a wordspace sign)

Off the 2 (going North from the 5 or Silverlake):

                Exit San Fernando Rd.

                Turn Left on San Fernando

                Turn Left on Fletcher

                Turn Right on LaClede (a stop light right after the rail
underpass)

               Right on Minneapolis: Dead end at Casitas -  park in any of
the LARGE PARKING LOTS (free)

                Enter the building to the South at the side door ( there
will be a wordspace sign)

>From Glendale Blvd (from  Glendale Blvd, or Hyperion (and the bridge  down
into Atwater, or from Glendale - the other direction)

                Go South on Atwater Avenue

                Left on Minneapolis: Dead end at Casitas -  park in any of
the large parking lots (free)

                Enter the building to the South at the side door ( there
will be a wordspace sign)
