Journeys to Borderlands by Jaisey Bates
 
I want to announce a very exciting Playwrights @ the Loft early this Fall - way before Halloween and Thanksgiving drama, by the way, so don't let this date slip by you! Venice Beach Writer / Director / Performer Jaisey Bates is bringing to Redlands an offering of a few of her short plays: Real Time, The Litchfield Ceremony, and Borderlands. 
 
Real Time is a mix and match sequence of very short plays, revealed in an order that is determined by a conversation between the audience and Time itself. 
 
The Litchfield Ceremony is a beautiful dance-like meeting between two young people with disoriented souls, both searching for a spiritual anchor. 
 
Borderlands is a highly disturbing and suspenseful drama, which ricochet's between the experiences of several characters caught in a brutal Sonoran Desert noon. Jaisey Bates' writing is exciting, poetic, philosophical, and stands tall with a distinctly Native American backbone. Don't miss this combustible collection of new plays at the Loft.
