Yesterday's LA Times book review featured TWO reviews by UCR Creative  
Writing faculty -- Laila Lalami and Palm Desert's Tod Goldberg.

As usual, the Times couldn't be bothered to ID them as UCR people, but  
congrats to Laila and Tod -- and to Susan Straight, who had the lead  
review the weekend before!
