To answer a few questions: For those interested in seeing Aimee Bender (details below), this event is free for all -- so if you have friends who are not students but are interested in seeing Aimee speak, they are welcome to come as well.

Hello all, 
 
Please join us this Saturday night at 6pm as we kick off the spring quarter with an evening with Aimee Bender at the Palm Desert Graduate Center. One of the most influential writers of short fiction working today, Aimee is the author The Girl in the Flammable Skirt, An Invisible Sign of My Own and Willful Creatures. Her short fiction has appeared in numerous magazines and journals, including Granta, McSweeney's, The Paris Review and GQ, twice earning a Pushcart Prize. She has an MFA from UCI and currently teaches creative writing at USC. 
 
Aimee will be reading, talking and then sitting down for a converation and audience Q&A. Books will be sold as well for those interested.
