Season*

Geva Theatre Center in Rochester, New York seeks a Literary Fellow for a
34-week contract during the company's 2008-09 season. Geva operates two
theatres (a LORT B mainstage and a LORT D second stage), has an annual
budget of $6.7 M, and offers a ten-show season which includes two world
premieres, numerous new play development programs and a wide range of
education and community engagement activities.

Literary Fellow:  Reports to Literary Manager/Resident Dramaturg

   - Assists with management of literary office including evaluating queries
   and logging and evaluating scripts
   - Assists with dramaturgical research on a wide range of repertoire
   - Assists (and occasionally solos) on creation of program notes and lobby
   displays
   - Assists with coordination and production duties for new play reading
   series and new play festival
   - Assists with script selection and producing duties (and occasionally
   directs) for Regional Writers Showcase, Young Writers Showcase, 2 Voices/2
   Pages, and other local/avocational writers' events
   - General office support
   - Other duties as assigned


Contract period:  November 3, 2008 – June 26, 2009

The position offers a broad range of experience. Responsibility is increased
in accordance with abilities and initiative. Salary:  $286/week.
