Hi folks,

Thanks again for having given out our flyers, and please remind your
students about our DIANA ABU-JABER event at Temecula Library this Thursday
evening.

Kind regards,

Kathryn Morton

Reminder - - a great FREE event featuring DIANA ABU-JABER, winner of the
prestigious PEN center award for fiction, and others. The author will be
live! and in person at Temecula Library 30600 Pauba Road 92592 (951) 693 -
8900.

Thursday, October 18, 2007. Starting at

7:00 p.m. in Temecula Library's Community Room, Abu-Jaber will read and
discuss Origin,

her latest novel, which has been called a literary mystery. Critics praise
this new work

as "enthralling", "gripping", "superbly written and utterly compelling".

Origin is the tale of the reclusive yet uncannily intuitive Lena Dawson, a
fingerprint specialist in a forensics lab who seeks to explain a baffling
string of infant deaths.

Could the culprit be toxic contamination, SIDS,

or a serial killer? Lena's quest stirs tantalizing memories and bizarre
flashbacks from her own dimly recollected childhood. Somehow Lena feels
her identity called into question as she puzzles through it all, complicated
by her relations with envious colleagues, distant foster-parents, an
over-protective ex-husband, and a budding romance with a wounded detective.
